Bun Run – Know Before You Go!

ARRIVAL

Parking will be available on South Park Drive. If the spots are full, you can park at Wicomico Middle School. We recommend you arrive by no later than 9:30am to make sure you are ready for our 10am start. If you begin your run after the official 10am start, you will be responsible for keeping your own time.


CHECKING IN

When you arrive, go to the Pavilion next to the Bandstand to sign-in. At the Pavilion you will receive your wristband with your bib number, your Bun Run 2022 t-shirt, and can pick up your drinks and snacks. The Pavilion will also have information tables for the event and the Eastern Shore Rabbit Rescue and Education Center (ESRREC). ESRREC fundraiser merchandise will also be available for purchase at the Pavilion.


PRE- and POST-BUN RUN ACTIVITIES

In the area of the start/finish line, Bun Runners have access to two playgrounds (one of which will have an egg hunt), restrooms at the Bandstand, and yard games. You are also encouraged to visit the information booths for our Gold Sponsors.


ROUTE SAFETY

Signage along the Bun Run route will help keep you on track. Volunteers will be stationed at 3 points along the route for guidance and encouragement. They will also have supplies for minor injuries, but for any major injuries or medical emergencies call 9-1-1.


REPORTING YOUR RESULTS

The top 3 finishers will receive a medal and Savage Race entry ticket. All other participants who report their results (run or walk) will be entered into our prize drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card. When you have completed your Bun Run, please report your time to the volunteer who is stationed either at the finish line or at the Pavilion. The prize drawing will take place at the end of the month after virtual race results have also been gathered.
