Our organization is 100% volunteer, including the Board of Directors:

Cora C. Dickson

President

ccdickson@esrrec.org

Cora Dickson, ESRREC PresidentCora lives in a house in Rock Hall with 12 rescued rabbits of her own plus fosters. She founded ESRREC because she recognized the lack of resources on the eastern shore for people who want to adopt rabbits. Her first bunny, Usagi (Japanese for “rabbit”), sadly passed away in October 2016 from old age, but her spirit lives on as Cora’s inspiration for ESRREC. Cora works in Washington, D.C. in the field of international relations for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Kelly Stottlemyer

Vice President

kstottle@esrrec.org

Kelly joined ESRREC’s team in 2018 while living in Talbot County after meeting volunteers at a PetSmart event. When she moved south to Salisbury, she took our mission with her! Kelly has 4 rabbits of her own- Milie, Sawyer, Jasper, & Daisy -and a rotating door of fosters. Kelly facilitates adoptions, coordinates volunteers, and organizes outreach events on the lower shore. When she isn’t snuggling bunnies, Kelly works as a firefighter/paramedic.

Debra Scott

Secretary

dscott@esrrec.org

Deb lives in Lincoln University, PA with family roots in Eastern Shore’s Tilghman Island. Her love of animals began at a young age with her first dog Fawn and rabbit Snowflake. Since then Deb has been an active member in various animal organizations across the country. She shares her home with her love Ed, dog Bella and adopted rabbit Simon, rescued as a stray by ESRREC. She works in Wilmington, DE in the field of financial banking.

William Fielder

Treasurer

treasurer@esrrec.org

William has been involved with ESRREC from the early planning stages. Not only does he volunteer at the shelter 1-2 times a week, he also helps his wife Cora manage the care of several foster rabbits at their house. William had rabbits as pets when he was a child and also as a college student, so when he and Cora moved to Rock Hall in 2009 they adopted two rabbits (Usagi and Coney, both since deceased). He works as a senior consultant for Red Hat and has a 20+ year career in the IT field.

Mark Patterson

Board Member

mpatterson@esrrec.org

Mark is a lifelong Maryland resident who has lived in Bowie, Maryland since 1995. His furry family includes 1 guinea pig and 6 rabbits. He happened to meet other ESRREC volunteers at a Rabbit Hopping Demonstration, and became a foster/volunteer. He joined the ESRREC Board in January 2019 and specializes in fostering some of the “harder to socialize” (i.e. grumpy) bunnies. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue. He currently works for the city of Bowie, Television Communications Department.

Kristen Robust

Board Member

krobust@esrrec.org

Kristen has been a lover of “all things bunnies” her whole life. She has had house rabbits as pets for over 30 years. Her first rabbit, Thumper, joined the family after being found hiding under the family car. Thumper, a California White, was likely “dumped” as no one ever claimed her. She lived happily in her new home for 8 years before passing. Kristen has had rabbits as pets ever since. In the fall of 2021, she adopted brothers, Denali and Teton from ESRREC. She fostered Minnie in early 2022 and officially adopted her that summer. Joining the board in January 2023, Kristen utilizes her professional counseling skills with her love of rabbits as the ESRREC Rabbit Rehoming Educator/Counselor.
